Gallienus, 253-268. As (Copper, 26 mm, 9.58 g, 7 h), Rome, 253-254. IMP C P LIC GALLIENVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gallienus to right, seen from behind. Rev. VIRTVS AVGG / S - C Virtus standing front, head to left, holding spear in her left hand and placing her right on shield set on ground. Cohen 1294. MIR 38gg (this coin illustrated). RIC 286. Struck on a broad flan and with a very old pedigree. Minor roughness and with some deposits, otherwise, very fine.
